Retreating

As most of you know :-) I have just returned from Morocco. We ( a group of like minded soul seekers ) spent six nights in the Agafay Desert, remote, safe, secure but very much off the beaten track, in fact there wasn't even a track for part of the journey. We arrived at night, big sky, a bright white cresent moon hanging low on the horizon, stars, incredible stars, no light pollution. Our driver was a little uncertain, we were even more concerned, about how we would actually find our destination coming out of Marrakesh into The Agafay Desert.

Arriving at La Pause in the dark lit by oil lamps (no electricity) a desert camp, full of absolute magic. Turns out the SIM I bought from the airport, the only one that works at camp, didn't work. NO phone and NO electricity, it's surprising how quickly you adjust ( don't worry, we had infinity pools and hot water;-) every cloud.

I began my journey with Carolina and her program, Mettaformo™ last year. There are four main retreats, this was my second one. The primary frame for the Mettaformo™ system is the Hero’s journey, where each retreat takes us through an inner journey of awakening, transformation and inspiration, uniquely designed to facilitate new perspectives and understandings of The Self.

Each retreat is an invitation to explore yourself which requires commitment, curiosity and bravery. Looking at what has taken you to where you are today and to give you the tools of transformation, which will allow you to choose who you want to be, now and in the future. In this process of getting to know yourself and how you relate with others you learn to become the hero of your own story.

The intention is, primarily, to surface unconcious patterns and limiting beliefs so that we can redefine, evolve and transform into expanded and a more deeply aligned version of ourselves.

I've spent over 15 years studying Pilates, last year after finishing a masters graduate program with Maria Earle in Barcelona, I decided to do something different. I chose  to do some personal healing work, to reflect inward, to retreat and dive deep into understanding myself, in order to be the very best I can be for others.

I've always thought of myself ( and other teachers ) as quiet warriors, it takes each and every one of us to take responsibility for our own corners of our world, our own self built communities. The more I tend to my life the more powerful it actually is, the more whole it becomes. A stronger link so I can teach from a place of wholeness ( flaws and all ) and to inspire the best in others. I also get to visit some pretty cool places, meet some incredible people and take on new perspectives. And Be More Of Me.
